Garage Door Drop Bolt Fitting Instructions
- Place bolt retaining plate at base of door and vertically where required. Insert bolt verticle in locked position. Make sure base of bolt is flush with door and not touching floor. Mark out holes for bolt retaining plate on door.
- Remove bolt retaining plate with bolt and drill pilot holes for screws into door. Replace bolt retaining plate with bolt and fix to door using screws provided.
- Slide bolt guides onto bolt. Position top guide low enough to allow bolt to drop at least 2 inches. Mark out holes for bolt guides on door.
- Remove bolt guides and bolt and drill pilot holes for screws into door. Replace bolt and bolt guides and fix to door using screws provided.
- With door closed, set bolt to engaged position. Mark out where bolt makes contact with floor.
- Clear marked area and drill a hole wide enough and deep enough to receive bolt.
