  • FAQ's

Q: What are ring shank nails used for?
A: Ring shank nails have ridged shanks that grip timber more securely than smooth nails. They are commonly used for timber cladding, fencing, roofing felt, pallet assembly and any application where high pull-out resistance is needed.

Q: What is a cup square bolt?
A: A cup square bolt (also known as a coach bolt) has a domed head with a square section beneath it that locks into the timber to prevent the bolt turning during tightening. They are widely used in fencing, gates, timber construction and general structural work.

Q: What size roofing bolt do I need?
A: Roofing bolts come in M5 and M6 diameters. The length depends on the combined thickness of the materials being joined, plus enough thread for the nut to grip fully. As a rule, allow at least 10mm beyond the material thickness.

Q: Do you supply fixings in trade quantities?
A: Yes — most of our fixings range is available loose in bulk or in PerryPack trade boxes designed for merchandising. PerryPack boxes are clearly labelled with product descriptions and barcodes for easy point-of-sale use.
