For End Strainer Posts & Intermediate Fence Posts (upon registration)
QuickClip steel fence posts are designed for long-term agricultural and perimeter fencing performance. Once registered, qualifying QuickClip end strainer posts and intermediate posts are protected by our 40-Year Limited Warranty, covering defects in materials or manufacturing under normal inland environmental conditions.

What the Warranty Covers

Coverage applies to defects that cause the post to fail under normal use that prevent the system from continuing to function in its indented use.

These include:

  • Defects in materials
  • Defects in manufacturing
  • Premature structural failure caused by such defects
  • Premature corrosion caused by manufacturing or material faults (non-coastal environments only)

 

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

Coastal / Marine-Air Environments (Full Exclusion)

No warranty coverage applies to any installation located within 1 mile (1.6 km) of an open sea coastline.

This is due to significantly elevated atmospheric salinity which accelerates corrosion beyond the performance envelope of galvanised steel. Installations within this coastal zone:

  • Are not eligible for the 40-year limited warranty.
  • Cannot register for warranty protection.

Improper Installation or Misuse

Exclusions include:

  • Incorrect installation depth or technique.
  • Use with incompatible fencing systems.
  • Installation in soils or environments outside recommended conditions.

Environmental Factors Beyond Our Control

Exclusions include:

  • Waterlogging or long-term standing water. 
  • Soil contamination (fertilisers, chemicals, industrial waste).  
  • Extreme ground movement or subsidence. 
  • Flooding, storms, lightning strikes, or other natural disasters.

Accidental or Physical Damage

Exclusions include:

  • Machinery impact (tractors, loaders, mowers, strimmers).
  • Vehicle collision.
  • Livestock impact beyond normal agricultural behaviour.
  • Vandalism or wilful damage.

Modifications or Alterations

Not covered if the post has been:

  • Cut, drilled, bent, or welded.
  • Altered from original specification.
  • Fitted with non-approved accessories.

General Wear & Tear

Normal age-related cosmetic changes are excluded:

  • Rusting not affecting structural integrity.
  • Surface scratches.
  • Fading or discolouration.

 

Warranty Registration Requirements

To activate the 40-Year Limited Warranty, the purchaser must register the product.

 

Required information:

  • Proof of purchase.
  • Installation address and postcode.
  • Confirmation that installation is not within 1 mile (1.6 km) of the coastline.
  • Installation date.

 

Registration deadlines:

  • Within 90 days of purchase, or
  • Within 30 days of installation.

 

Making a Warranty Claim

Provide:

  • Registration confirmation  
  • Proof of purchase  
  • Photos
  • Description of issue
