The No.508 Heavy Gate Catch to Drive is a heavy 12mm diameter galvanised steel staple with two sharpened points, driven into the timber rather than bolted or screwed. It is the part that the self-locking catch engages with, and it is made to be used with the No.500 and No.503 auto gate catches. Being driven rather than bolted, it goes in quickly and there is nothing to work loose.
